Final Project

This project allowed us to learn more about how computers and routers on a small scale can talk to one another and how we can manipulate or change aspects of the network. We created interfaces, changed Ips, and tested connections.

Creating Connections

We powered on the VM home router and a VM computer. We the signed into the gateway device using the known IP (192.168.5.0) and created to LAN interfaces named Loopback 1, and Loopback 2. Loopback 1 used the first borrowed half of the subnet portion 192.168.5.1 and loopback 2 was 192.168.5.129. At the end we then tested the connection by pinging the router from the VM computer!

Testing Connections

At the end we then tested the connection by pinging the router from the VM computer! Earlier in the project we also tested the connection of the two VM Computers.
